Iron Man recap

Tony Stark, a billionaire weapons maker, is ambushed in Afghanistan after demonstrating his Jericho missile and wounded by shrapnel. The Ten Rings hold him in a cave and order him to build the missile; instead, with fellow captive Ho Yinsen, he builds an electromagnet to keep the shrapnel from his heart, powered by a small arc reactor, and a crude armored suit. Yinsen dies covering the escape. Back home, Tony announces that Stark Industries will stop making weapons, which angers his partner Obadiah Stane. He builds a sleek new suit, uses it to attack the Ten Rings in the village of Gulmira, and finds that Stark weapons are being sold to terrorists under the table. Pepper Potts uncovers proof that Stane arranged it all, including the ambush. Stane tears the arc reactor out of Tony's chest and puts on his own giant armor, the Iron Monger.

How Iron Man ends

Tony, running on his old reactor, fights Stane on the roof of Stark Industries, and Pepper overloads the building's large arc reactor, killing Stane. At a press conference the next day, Tony is supposed to read a cover story prepared by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson; instead he tells the world, "I am Iron Man."

Yes. In the post-credits scene, Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D., is waiting in Tony's house. He tells Tony he is not the only superhero in the world and that he has come to talk about the Avengers Initiative.

A drop of his blood ends up in a bottle, and General Thaddeus Ross tracks him down with a team that includes Emil Blonsky, a soldier who wants a real fight. The Hulk escapes. Banner returns to Culver University and finds Betty Ross, the general's daughter, and Blonsky, now boosted with a version of the super soldier serum, attacks the Hulk again and is badly beaten. Iron Man 2 recap

Six months after revealing that he is Iron Man, Tony refuses the Senate's demand to hand over his suit, while the palladium core in his arc reactor slowly poisons him. In Russia, Ivan Vanko, whose father worked with Howard Stark before being deported, builds his own reactor and electric whips and attacks Tony at the Monaco Grand Prix. Rival arms dealer Justin Hammer breaks Vanko out of prison to build an army of drones. Tony, believing he is dying, makes Pepper CEO, gets drunk in his suit at his birthday party and fights James Rhodes, who flies off with a spare suit for the military. His new assistant, Natalie Rushman, is really Natasha Romanoff, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Nick Fury gives Tony his father's old belongings, and Tony finds a new element hidden in Howard's model of the Stark Expo and builds it to replace the palladium.

How Iron Man 2 ends

At Hammer's presentation at the Stark Expo, Vanko takes control of the drones and of Rhodes's suit, now called War Machine. Natasha gives control back to Rhodes, and Tony and Rhodes destroy the drones and beat Vanko, who blows himself up. Tony and Pepper kiss. Fury's assessment says Tony is fit to consult for the Avengers Initiative but not to join it.

Captain America: The First Avenger recap

In 1942, Steve Rogers, a sickly young man from Brooklyn, keeps trying to enlist. Dr. Abraham Erskine picks him for a super soldier program run by Colonel Chester Phillips and Agent Peggy Carter, and Erskine's serum and Howard Stark's machine turn him into a peak human, moments before a Hydra agent kills Erskine. Rogers is put on stage selling war bonds as Captain America until he learns that the unit of his best friend, Bucky Barnes, has been captured; he goes behind enemy lines alone and frees hundreds of men. Hydra's leader, Johann Schmidt, the Red Skull, has found the Tesseract and uses its power for advanced weapons. Rogers forms the Howling Commandos and raids Hydra bases across Europe. On a mission to capture Hydra scientist Arnim Zola from a train, Bucky falls into a ravine and is presumed dead.

How Captain America: The First Avenger ends

Rogers boards the Red Skull's bomber, which is heading for American cities. The Skull grabs the Tesseract and vanishes in a beam of light, and the cube drops into the Arctic. Unable to land safely, Rogers crashes the plane into the ice while talking to Peggy on the radio. Howard Stark later recovers the Tesseract. Loki arrives on Earth through the Tesseract, takes control of Clint Barton (Hawkeye) and Erik Selvig with his scepter, and steals the cube; in return for the Tesseract, an alien army called the Chitauri will give him Earth. Nick Fury gathers Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff and Bruce Banner. They capture Loki in Stuttgart, and Thor arrives to take his brother home. On S.H.I.E.L.D.'s flying helicarrier, the team bickers while Loki's plan plays out: Barton attacks the ship, Banner turns into the Hulk, Thor is dropped from the sky in a cell, and Loki escapes after killing Agent Coulson. Iron Man 3 recap

After the battle of New York, Tony suffers panic attacks and cannot stop building new suits. A terrorist called the Mandarin sets off bombs across the United States; one injures Happy Hogan, and Tony threatens the Mandarin on television, which brings helicopter gunships down on his Malibu house. WandaVision recap

Wanda Maximoff and Vision, who died in Infinity War, live as newlyweds in Westview, New Jersey, inside what looks like a sitcom, moving through the decades from 1950s black and white to the 2000s. Outside, S.W.O.R.D., run by Tyler Hayward, studies an energy field around the town. Monica Rambeau, back from the Blip, is pulled inside, playing a neighbor, and thrown out when she mentions Ultron. Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis help her investigate. Wanda gives birth to twins, Billy and Tommy, and her brother Pietro turns up, played by a different actor. Vision learns that the townspeople are trapped and controlled by Wanda, and that he cannot leave the town without falling apart. Wanda built the whole place out of grief after S.W.O.R.D. dismantled Vision's body. Her neighbor Agnes is really Agatha Harkness, a centuries-old witch who walks Wanda through her past and names her the Scarlet Witch, a being of chaos magic. Hayward rebuilds Vision's original body as a white, weaponised Vision.

How WandaVision ends

Wanda beats Agatha by using her own runes against her and locks her in the town as the nosy neighbor Agnes. The two Visions fight, and Wanda's Vision talks the white Vision into restoring his memories; it flies away. Wanda takes down the field, losing Vision and the boys, and leaves Westview. In a final scene, she studies the Darkhold in a remote cabin and hears her sons calling for help, which leads into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
