The story
After the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, technology is pitted against magic when Riri Williams, a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world, returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka "The Hood."
Ironheart recap
Riri Williams is expelled from MIT and returns to Chicago, still grieving her best friend Natalie and her stepfather Gary, killed in a drive-by shooting. To fund her suit, she joins a gang of thieves led by Parker Robbins, known as the Hood, who wears a magic cloak. She builds an AI for her suit by mapping her own brain, and her grief turns it into a digital copy of Natalie. The gang's heists turn deadly, and Riri learns that Parker's gang killed one of their own. Zeke Stane, son of Obadiah Stane, sells her parts and later turns against her. With help from former Kamar-Taj students, Riri learns Parker's cloak is a dark artifact, and Parker turns the gang on her. Riri builds a new suit with magic, losing the AI in the process.
Ironheart ending explained
Riri defeats Parker by tricking him with a hologram and pulling off the cloak, leaving him powerless. Parker's source of power is Mephisto, who appears and offers Riri a deal; she accepts in exchange for keeping her loved ones safe, and Natalie returns, while Mephisto's marks spread on Riri's arm. In a mid-credits scene, Parker asks Zelma Stanton for help finding magic.
