Daredevil: Born Again recap
In season 1, Bullseye, Benjamin Poindexter, kills Foggy Nelson in an attack on Matt Murdock and Karen Page, and Matt almost kills him. A year later, Matt has retired as Daredevil and practises law with Kirsten McDuffie, while Wilson Fisk is elected mayor of New York on an anti-vigilante platform and his wife Vanessa runs his criminal business. Matt defends the vigilante White Tiger, Hector Ayala, who is acquitted and then murdered. A serial killer, Muse, abducts Angela del Toro, and Matt puts the suit back on to save her; therapist Heather Glenn, Matt's girlfriend, kills Muse. Fisk forms an Anti-Vigilante Task Force of corrupt police. Matt learns Vanessa hired Poindexter to kill Foggy, and takes a bullet meant for Fisk. Fisk declares martial law and jails his opponents. Fisk tightens his grip on the city with a free port at Red Hook and weapons from a CIA man, Mr. Charles. Vanessa is wounded in an attack by Poindexter and dies, and Fisk grows more violent.
