The story

Peter Parker is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a super-hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: No Way Home recap

After Mysterio reveals Peter Parker is Spider-Man, Peter is charged and then cleared, but his life collapses: he, MJ and Ned are rejected by MIT. Peter asks Doctor Strange to make the world forget his identity. Peter keeps changing the spell as Strange casts it, and it breaks, pulling in people from other universes who know Spider-Man is Peter Parker: Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman and the Lizard. Strange wants to send them home, where most will die, but Peter decides to cure them first. Norman Osborn's Goblin personality takes over, betrays them and kills Aunt May, who reminds Peter that with great power comes great responsibility. Ned and MJ accidentally bring two other Peter Parkers, the Spider-Men of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, into this world.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ending explained

At the Statue of Liberty, the three Spider-Men cure the villains, and the older Peter stops Peter from killing the Goblin. With the multiverse breaking through, Peter asks Strange to make everyone forget that Peter Parker exists. Strange casts the spell, the visitors return home, and MJ and Ned no longer know him. Peter lives alone in an apartment and sews a new suit.

Post-credits scenes
