The story

Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a superhero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.

Hawkeye recap

At Christmas in New York, Clint Barton, deaf in one ear, wants only to get home to his kids. Kate Bishop, a young archer who idolised him since she saw him in the battle of New York, finds his old Ronin suit at a black market auction, and the Tracksuit Mafia comes after her. Clint trains her as they fight the gang, whose leader, Maya Lopez, a deaf fighter, wants revenge on Ronin for killing her father. Kate suspects her mother's fiance Jack Duquesne. Yelena Belova arrives, hired to kill Clint, whom she blames for Natasha's death. The person behind the gang is Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, and Kate's mother Eleanor turns out to be working with him.

Hawkeye ending explained

At a Christmas party at Rockefeller Center, Clint convinces Yelena that Natasha chose to sacrifice herself. Kate fights Fisk and beats him, Eleanor is arrested, and Maya confronts Fisk and a shot is heard, though he survives in Echo. Clint gets home for Christmas with Kate and burns the Ronin suit.
