Spider-Man: Homecoming recap

Eight years after the battle of New York, salvage contractor Adrian Toomes loses his cleanup job to a government agency and starts building weapons from alien scrap, flying in a winged suit as the Vulture. Months after Civil War, Peter Parker, 15, goes back to school in Queens, waits for a call from Tony Stark and patrols as Spider-Man under the watch of Happy Hogan. Peter stumbles onto Toomes's weapons deals and keeps getting in over his head; his best friend Ned learns his secret. Peter tracks Toomes to a ferry, where a weapon tears it in half and Tony has to save everyone, and Tony takes back the suit. Peter goes to the homecoming dance with his crush Liz and discovers her father is Toomes. Toomes works out Peter's identity and lets him go with a warning.

Spider-Man: Homecoming ending explained

Peter, in his homemade suit, stops Toomes from hijacking a plane carrying Avengers equipment as it moves to the new base. The plane crashes on Coney Island, and Peter saves Toomes from the wreck and leaves him for the police. Tony offers Peter a place in the Avengers and a new suit; Peter turns it down to stay a neighborhood hero. Tony returns the suit, and Aunt May walks in on Peter wearing it.
