Thor: Ragnarok recap
Thor returns to Asgard and exposes Loki, who has been posing as Odin. They find Odin on Earth with help from Doctor Strange; Odin dies, and his firstborn, Hela, goddess of death, is freed from her prison. She crushes Mjolnir and knocks both brothers out of the Bifrost. Hela takes Asgard and raises an undead army. Thor crashes on Sakaar, a junk planet ruled by the Grandmaster, where a drunken Asgardian warrior, Valkyrie, sells him to fight as a gladiator. His opponent is the Hulk, who has been on Sakaar for two years. With the help of Korg, Valkyrie and eventually Loki, Thor escapes with the Hulk and Banner, while a revolt breaks out. Heimdall, meanwhile, hides the people of Asgard from Hela.
Thor: Ragnarok ending explained
Thor and his team return to Asgard and fight Hela on the bridge. Thor loses an eye but finds he never needed the hammer to call lightning. Unable to beat Hela, Thor has Loki wake Surtur, the fire demon, who destroys Asgard and Hela with it. The surviving Asgardians leave on a ship, and Thor, now king, plans to take them to Earth.
Post-credits scenes
Yes. In the mid-credits scene, Thor and Loki talk about going to Earth, and an enormous ship, Thanos's Sanctuary II, appears in front of them. In the post-credits scene, the Grandmaster, deposed by the revolt, tells his former subjects that the result is a tie.
