Dr. No recap

The British station chief in Jamaica, Strangways, is murdered, and M sends James Bond to find out why. Bond dodges assassins, works with the CIA's Felix Leiter and the local boatman Quarrel, and traces Strangways's interest to Crab Key, an island owned by the reclusive Dr. Julius No. Someone has been sending radio signals that knock American rockets off course from Cape Canaveral. Bond and Quarrel land on Crab Key and meet Honey Ryder, a shell collector. No's men attack with a flame-throwing "dragon" tank, kill Quarrel and capture Bond and Honey. Over dinner, No reveals he works for SPECTRE, a criminal organisation, and has steel hands from a radiation accident.

How Dr. No ends

Bond escapes through an air duct, disguises himself as a technician and overloads No's nuclear reactor just as a rocket is due to launch. He fights No on the platform, and No, unable to grip the metal with his mechanical hands, slides into the boiling cooling pool and dies. Bond rescues Honey and the two escape before the base explodes, drifting in a boat until Leiter picks them up. SPECTRE comes back in the next film.

Bond suspects a trap but goes, working with the British station head Kerim Bey. Bond and Tatiana steal the Lektor and board the Orient Express, followed by the SPECTRE assassin Red Grant. Grant kills Kerim, then poses as a British agent, Captain Nash, and drugs Tatiana.

How From Russia with Love ends

In their train compartment, Grant tells Bond the whole plan, and Bond kills him after a brutal fight using his trick briefcase. Bond and Tatiana escape a helicopter and a boat chase to Venice. There Klebb, disguised as a hotel maid, attacks Bond with a poisoned blade in her shoe, and Tatiana shoots her. Casino Royale recap

This comedy is not part of the Eon series. Sir James Bond, a retired spy who disapproves of the playboy agent who inherited his name, is lured back to work after M is killed. He takes over MI6 and orders every agent to be called James Bond to confuse the enemy, the organisation SMERSH. The plot sprawls across several directors' segments: Bond's daughter Mata Bond goes to Berlin; baccarat expert Evelyn Tremble is recruited by the spy Vesper Lynd to beat SMERSH's agent Le Chiffre at cards in the casino; Tremble wins, is kidnapped and tortured with hallucinations, and is shot by Vesper. Sir James himself is captured, and the trail leads to Dr. Noah, the head of SMERSH.

James Bond, MI6 agent 007 with a licence to kill, has been played by six actors across 25 Eon films since 1962, plus two unofficial films; the early films loosely share a running fight with Ernst Stavro Blofeld and SPECTRE. A new Bond film from Amazon MGM, directed by Denis Villeneuve, is in development.

He kills Safin, tells Madeleine he loves her, and dies in the missile strike. MI6 toasts him, and the credits promise that James Bond will return. The Craig story is complete; the next film will start again with a new Bond.
