Diamonds Are Forever recap
Sean Connery returns. Bond hunts down Blofeld and seems to kill him in a pool of boiling mud. His next assignment is a diamond smuggling ring, and he poses as the smuggler Peter Franks, working with Tiffany Case in Amsterdam. Two assassins, Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, are killing everyone along the pipeline. The diamonds lead to Las Vegas and the reclusive billionaire Willard Whyte, whose empire Blofeld has taken over using doubles and Whyte's voice. Blofeld has been hoarding diamonds to build a laser satellite that can destroy targets anywhere on Earth. Bond frees Whyte, and Tiffany, now on Bond's side, is captured.
Diamonds Are Forever ending explained
Bond reaches Blofeld's oil rig off Baja California, where Blofeld is holding the world to ransom. Bond swaps the control tape, and a helicopter attack destroys the rig; Bond swings Blofeld's mini-submarine into the control room, and Blofeld's fate is left unclear. On a cruise ship home, Wint and Kidd try once more, and Bond kills them.
