Live and Let Die recap
Roger Moore takes over as Bond. Three British agents die in New York, New Orleans and the Caribbean island of San Monique. Bond investigates Dr. Kananga, San Monique's dictator, and the Harlem gangster Mr. Big. Kananga's tarot reader Solitaire foretells Bond's every move, until Bond seduces her and her powers vanish. Bond escapes the henchman Tee Hee and his steel claw, crosses a crocodile farm on the backs of crocodiles, and leads a long boat chase through the Louisiana bayous, crossing paths with Sheriff J.W. Pepper. Mr. Big turns out to be Kananga in disguise: he plans to flood America with free heroin grown on San Monique, wipe out the competition and then corner the market.
Live and Let Die ending explained
Bond rescues Solitaire from a voodoo sacrifice and destroys Kananga's poppy fields. In Kananga's underground lair, the two fight over a shark tank, and Bond forces a compressed gas pellet into Kananga's mouth, inflating him until he explodes. On the train home, Tee Hee attacks and Bond throws him out of the window. The voodoo figure Baron Samedi rides the front of the train, laughing.
