When Bond's latest assignment goes gravely wrong, agents around the world are exposed and MI6 headquarters is attacked. Skyfall recap
In Istanbul, Bond chases a thief carrying a list of undercover NATO agents, and M orders agent Eve to take a shot that hits Bond, who falls into a river and is presumed dead. Months later MI6 is bombed, M is under pressure from the official Gareth Mallory, and Bond returns. Out of shape, he passes his tests with M's help, meets the young new Q, and tracks the thief to Shanghai and a casino in Macau. The trail leads to Raoul Silva, a former MI6 agent whom M gave up to the Chinese years before, who now runs a cyber-terror operation from an abandoned island. Silva lets himself be captured and escapes from MI6, then attacks M at a public inquiry.
Skyfall ending explained
Bond takes M to Skyfall, his childhood home in Scotland, to draw Silva out. With the gamekeeper Kincade, they fight off Silva's men, and Silva reaches M in the chapel, but Bond kills him.
