Spectre recap
Following a message from the late M, Bond kills an assassin in Mexico City and takes his ring. He goes to Rome and gets into a meeting of a criminal organisation, SPECTRE, led by Franz Oberhauser, a man Bond knew as a child. Meanwhile the new M fights C, a government official merging MI5 and MI6 and pushing a global surveillance network. Bond finds a dying Mr. White in Austria and promises to protect his daughter, Dr. Madeleine Swann. Madeleine and Bond follow clues to Tangier and a crater base in the desert. Oberhauser reveals he now calls himself Ernst Stavro Blofeld and was behind Le Chiffre, Greene and Silva. C is his agent.
Spectre ending explained
Bond escapes the crater base, which explodes, scarring Blofeld. In London, Blofeld captures Madeleine in the ruins of the old MI6 building, and Bond rescues her; C falls to his death. Bond shoots down Blofeld's helicopter and lets the police arrest him rather than killing him. Bond drives off with Madeleine, leaving MI6.
