Tomorrow Never Dies recap
A British warship is sunk in Chinese waters and a Chinese jet is shot down, events reported by Elliot Carver's news network before anyone else knows about them. Carver, a media baron, is staging a war between Britain and China using a stealth ship, so he can install a friendly Chinese general in power and get exclusive broadcasting rights. Bond goes to Hamburg and uses his old lover Paris, now Carver's wife, to get into Carver's building; Carver has her killed. Bond meets Wai Lin, a Chinese agent working the same case. They escape across Saigon handcuffed together on a motorbike chased by a helicopter.
