Power Rangers ran on television from 1993 to 2023: 30 seasons across 23 series, plus four films from 1995 to 2023. Each season recruits a new team of young people, gives them colour-coded suits and giant Zords, and sets them against an alien or mystical villain, mixing new American footage with fight scenes from the Japanese Super Sentai shows. The first six seasons follow one continuous story around the mentor Zordon; from Lost Galaxy on, most seasons stand alone in a shared universe.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers recap
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993) follows five Angel Grove teenagers recruited by the sage Zordon to fight the space witch Rita Repulsa. Astronauts free her from a dumpster on the Moon, and she sets her sights on Earth. The first season aired 60 episodes on Fox Kids from August 1993 to May 1994, built around fight footage from the Japanese Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. Jason Lee Scott (Austin St. John) leads as the Red Ranger, with Kimberly Hart (Amy Jo Johnson), Billy Cranston (David Yost), Zack Taylor (Walter Emanuel Jones) and Trini Kwan (Thuy Trang). Zordon, a head in an energy tube, and his robot Alpha 5 run the Command Center, while the bullies Bulk and Skull supply comic relief. Rita sends a new monster most weeks, growing it giant so the team must combine their Dinozords into the Megazord. The big turn is the five-part "Green with Evil": Rita brainwashes the martial artist Tommy Oliver (Jason David Frank) into the Green Ranger, who nearly destroys the team before Jason breaks the spell and Tommy joins them. This is where the franchise begins; season 2 picks up directly.
How Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ends
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season 1 ends with Tommy back on the team but living on borrowed power. After Rita drains his Green Ranger powers with her Green Candle, Zordon gives him a temporary charge that must be renewed, and warns it will eventually fail. The last aired episode, "An Oyster Stew", is a standalone story about Zack trying to impress Angela with pearl earrings. Season 2 opens with Lord Zedd arriving to replace Rita.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season 2 recap
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season 2 (1994) brings in Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa's superior, who seals her away and takes over the campaign against Earth. The season ran 52 episodes on Fox Kids from July 1994 to May 1995, and it follows season 1 directly. Zedd's monsters are stronger, so Zordon upgrades the team to the Thunderzords, while Zedd sets out to finish off the fading Green Ranger. Once Tommy Oliver (Jason David Frank) loses those powers for good, Zordon secretly creates the White Ranger, and Tommy returns in that role as the team's new leader. During the Team Ninja Trials the Rangers befriend Rocky DeSantos (Steve Cardenas), Adam Park (Johnny Yong Bosch) and Aisha Campbell (Karan Ashley) from Stone Canyon. When Jason, Zack and Trini leave for a World Peace Conference in Switzerland, a reflection of three cast members exiting over contract disputes, the newcomers take their powers through the Sword of Light. Rita later returns with a makeover and a love potion, and Zedd marries her.
How Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season 2 ends

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season 3 recap
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season 3 (1995) opens with Rita's skeletal brother, Rito Revolto, wrecking the Rangers' Zords and Power Coins. The season aired 33 episodes on Fox Kids from September to November 1995, followed in February 1996 by the 10-episode mini-series Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers. She takes over as Red, and Jayden leaves to duel Deker one last time.

Power Rangers recap
Power Rangers (2017) reboots the original story: five Angel Grove teenagers find Power Coins in a gold mine and must stop Rita Repulsa. Dean Israelite directs. Football star Jason Scott (Dacre Montgomery), autistic science whiz Billy Cranston (RJ Cyler) and ex-cheerleader Kimberly Hart (Naomi Scott) meet in detention, and loners Trini Kwan (Becky G) and Zack Taylor (Ludi Lin) are nearby when the coins turn up. They gain super strength and find a buried ship holding Zordon (Bryan Cranston), a former Red Ranger whose mind lives in the Morphing Grid, and the robot Alpha 5 (Bill Hader). Rita (Elizabeth Banks), a rogue Green Ranger he sank 65 million years ago, rises from the sea, gathers gold to build the monster Goldar and hunts for the buried Zeo Crystal. The teens cannot morph until they trust one another, and only after Rita kills Billy do they unlock their armour. The film stands alone, with no link to the TV continuity.
How Power Rangers ends
Power Rangers ends with Zordon reviving Billy at the cost of his own chance to return to a body. The team finally morphs, fights Rita's Putties and forms the Megazord after Goldar pushes their Zords into a fiery pit. They destroy Goldar, and Jason slaps Rita into space with the Megazord. The film underperformed at the box office, so its planned sequels were cancelled and Saban sold the franchise to Hasbro.
Post-credits scenes
Yes. Power Rangers has a mid-credits scene in which the detention teacher announces a new student, Tommy Oliver, and a green jacket hangs on an empty chair.
