Power Rangers RPM recap
Power Rangers RPM (2009) is set after a computer virus named Venjix has wiped out most of humanity, leaving the domed city of Corinth as the last refuge. The seventeenth season aired 32 episodes on ABC Kids from March to December 2009, adapting Engine Sentai Go-onger, and it was the last season made under Disney. The prodigy Doctor K (Olivia Tennet) builds the Ranger gear and recruits pilot Scott Truman (Eka Darville), mechanic Flynn McAllistair (Ari Boyland) and heiress Summer Landsdown (Rose McIver). They are joined by Dillon (Dan Ewing), a drifter with no memory and machine parts Venjix put inside him, and his clumsy friend Ziggy Grover (Milo Cawthorne), a former thief. Later the twins Gem (Mike Ginn) and Gemma (Li Ming Hu), Doctor K's friends from a secret programme called Alphabet Soup, arrive as Gold and Silver. Dillon learns that Venjix's infiltrator Tenaya is his sister, and Doctor K admits she created Venjix herself while trying to escape that programme. Hasbro's Beast Morphers (2019) later works as its sequel.
Power Rangers RPM ending explained
Power Rangers RPM ends with the two-part "Danger and Destiny". Venjix invades Corinth, triggers hidden hybrids across the city and deletes Gem and Gemma, while his hardware starts taking over Dillon. Tenaya, cured by an antidote, carries a counter-virus into Venjix's network, and the restored twins bring down his tower on him. In the final shot a red light flickers in Scott's morpher, hinting Venjix survives; Beast Morphers paid it off in 2020. Saban then bought the franchise back from Disney.
