Power Rangers Jungle Fury recap

Power Rangers Jungle Fury (2008) follows three kung fu students who become Rangers after the evil spirit Dai Shi possesses their classmate Jarrod. The sixteenth season aired 32 episodes on Toon Disney's Jetix block from February to November 2008, adapting Juken Sentai Gekiranger, and it stands alone. Casey Rhodes (Jason Smith), a rookie chosen over Jarrod (Bede Skinner), joins Theo Martin (Aljin Abella) and Lily Chilman (Anna Hutchison) as guardians from the Pai Zhuq, the Order of the Claw. Their slain master Mao sends them to Ocean Bluff, where their new teacher is Robert "RJ" James (David de Lautour), the laid-back owner of Jungle Karma Pizza. Each fights by channelling an animal spirit; Casey's is the tiger. Dai Shi, through Jarrod, wants animals to rule over humans and raises his Phantom Generals and undead Rinshi. RJ later morphs as the Purple Wolf Ranger, his old classmate Dominic Hargan (Nikolai Nikolaeff) joins as the White Rhino Ranger, and the ghosts of three masters return as Spirit Rangers. Dai Shi's chameleon lieutenant Camille (Holly Shanahan) falls for Jarrod.
