Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue recap

Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue (2000) turns the Rangers into a government rescue team defending Mariner Bay, California, from demons freed from a tomb. The eighth season aired 40 episodes on Fox Kids from February to November 2000, adapting Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGoFive, and it stands alone apart from crossover guests. Captain William Mitchell (Ron Roggé) recruits firefighter Carter Grayson (Sean Cw Johnson), marine trainer Chad Lee (Michael Chaturantabut), stunt pilot Joel Rawlings (Keith Robinson), extreme sports fan Kelsey Winslow (Sasha Williams) and his paramedic daughter Dana Mitchell (Alison MacInnis). Working from the underwater Aquabase with the engineer Angela Fairweather, they face Diabolico, Vypra, Loki and the scheming Impus, who grows into Prince Olympius, all serving Queen Bansheera. Mid-season the demons unleash the Titanium Ranger, who turns out to be Mitchell's long-lost son Ryan (Rhett Fisher), raised by Diabolico; he breaks free and joins the team as the first Ranger with no Japanese counterpart. Leo and the Galaxy Rangers return to fight Trakeena.

Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue ending explained

Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue ends with "The Fate of Lightspeed", after Bansheera has killed Vypra and Loki and the Rangers have destroyed Olympius and Diabolico. Jinxer's planted card floods the Aquabase with Batlings, which hijack both Megazords, so the team blows up the Lifeforce Megazord along with the base. Carter kicks Bansheera into the Skull Cavern's tomb as it collapses, and the Rangers hand back their morphers. They return in Time Force's crossover, "Time for Lightspeed".
