Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie recap

Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie (1997) sends the Zeo team after Divatox, a space pirate hunting a wizard's key so she can marry the demon Maligore. David Winning and Shuki Levy direct. The wizard, Lerigot, flees to Earth, and Divatox follows, needing two pure-hearted humans as sacrifices. She captures Kimberly Hart (Amy Jo Johnson) and Jason Lee Scott (Austin St. John) while they are scuba diving. When Rocky DeSantos (Steve Cardenas) hurts his back in training, 12-year-old Justin Stewart (Blake Foster) discovers the team's secret and inherits the Blue powers. Zordon and Alpha 5 give Tommy Oliver (Jason David Frank), Adam, Tanya and Kat new Turbo powers and car-themed Zords. Divatox steals Lerigot, and the Rangers chase her through the Nemesis Triangle to Maligore's volcano island, where Jason and Kimberly are possessed and turned against them. The film comes after Zeo and leads straight into Power Rangers Turbo.

Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie ending explained

Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie ends with Lerigot and his wife Yara breaking Maligore's hold on Jason and Kimberly. Divatox sacrifices her own nephew Elgar instead, which revives Maligore, and the Rangers combine their Zords into the Turbo Megazord to destroy him. Divatox and Rygog escape, promising revenge, which sets up the TV season. The Maligore costume was later reused for the villain Dark Specter in In Space.
