The Incredibles recap

Fifteen years after lawsuits forced superheroes into hiding, Bob Parr, once Mr. Incredible, is stuck in an insurance job, while his wife Helen, once Elastigirl, raises their children, Violet, Dash and baby Jack-Jack. Bob secretly does hero work with his friend Lucius, Frozone. A mysterious woman, Mirage, hires Bob to defeat a rogue robot on a remote island, and he gets back into shape, ordering a new suit from the designer Edna Mode. His employer is Syndrome, once Buddy, a boy fan Bob rejected, who has been killing retired heroes while perfecting his Omnidroid robot. Bob is captured. Helen finds out what he has been doing, flies to the island, and Violet and Dash stow away.

The Incredibles ending explained

The family escapes and returns to the city, where Syndrome stages a fake attack with the Omnidroid so he can save the day. The Omnidroid turns on him, and the Parrs and Frozone destroy it together. Syndrome tries to kidnap Jack-Jack, who shows powers of his own; his cape is sucked into a jet engine and he dies. Months later, the family is at a track meet when a new villain, the Underminer, rises out of the ground, and they put on their masks.

Post-credits scenes
