Penguins of Madagascar recap

Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and the youngest, Private, break into Fort Knox and are caught by Dr. Octavius Brine, who is really Dave, an octopus who spent his life being upstaged by cute penguins at zoos. Dave is kidnapping penguins around the world to mutate them into monsters with his Medusa Serum. The penguins cross paths with the North Wind, an elite animal intelligence team led by the wolf Classified, who regard them as amateurs. Skipper refuses to work with them. Private, who has always been seen as the cute one, wants to prove he matters. Dave captures Private and then the North Wind, and plans to unleash mutated penguins on the people of New York.

Penguins of Madagascar ending explained

Private gets onto Dave's ship and reverses the serum ray, turning the captured penguins back to normal but mutating himself in the process. The penguins and the North Wind defeat Dave, shrink him and trap him in a snow globe, and Private is accepted as a full member of his team.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a credits scene, the penguins use the ray to restore Private to normal, with help from Mort and King Julien.
