The story

When Earth is taken over by the overly-confident Boov, an alien race in search of a new place to call home, all humans are promptly relocated, while all Boov get busy reorganizing the planet. But when one resourceful girl, Tip, manages to avoid capture, she finds herself the accidental accomplice of a banished Boov named Oh. The two fugitives realize there’s a lot more at stake than intergalactic relations as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime.

Home recap

The Boov, a cowardly alien race forever fleeing the Gorg, take over Earth and move humanity to Australia. Oh, an awkward, chatty Boov whom no one likes, accidentally emails a party invitation to the whole galaxy, including the Gorg, and becomes a fugitive. He meets Gratuity "Tip" Tucci, a girl who escaped relocation and is searching for her mother, Lucy. Oh rebuilds her car into a flying machine in return for a ride, and they travel together through Paris. They grow close, and Oh learns that the Boov leader Captain Smek has lied about many things, including the stone he stole from the Gorg. The Gorg mothership arrives.

Home ending explained

Oh finds the Boov fleeing and persuades them to stand up for themselves, and Kyle names him captain. He takes Tip to her mother. Oh then realises the Gorg want only the stone, which is an egg holding their next generation; he returns it, and the last Gorg leaves in peace. The Boov move to the Moon, humans go home, and Oh lives with the Tuccis.
