The story

Fourth-graders George and Harold write comics about Captain Underpants and play pranks on their humourless principal, Mr. Krupp. When Krupp threatens to put them in separate classes, George hypnotises him with a ring from a cereal box, turning him into Captain Underpants, a superhero in his underwear who turns back into Krupp whenever water hits his face. The new science teacher, Professor Poopypants, has been laughed at all his life because of his name and plans to remove the ability to laugh from everyone. The boys realise that he had a point about mockery, but he still builds a giant toilet robot and seizes the school's children.
Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie ending explained
Captain Underpants and the boys fight the robot; Melvin Sneedly's Turbo Toilet 2000 fuses with it, and the boys and Captain Underpants defeat it. The Professor is shrunk and takes the name Tippy Tinkletrousers. The boys accept Krupp as he is, and Krupp falls for the lunch lady Edith. With laughter restored, George and Harold get to stay in the same class, and Krupp, still hypnotised, can turn back into Captain Underpants at the snap of a finger.
Post-credits scenes
Yes. In a scene after the credits, George and Harold notice that Mr. Krupp's secretary has been on the phone the entire film, and they hang up on her.
