She then joins a small band of elite soldiers, who are enlisted to rescue the missing daughter of the creator of the mutating T-virus. Once lack of luck and resources happen, they begin to wage an exhilarating battle to survive and escape before the Umbrella Corporation erases its experiment from the face of the earth.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse recap

The T-virus has escaped into Raccoon City, and Umbrella seals the city behind walls, leaving its people to die. Alice, now with enhanced strength from Umbrella's experiments, joins a small group of survivors: the police officer Jill Valentine, the Umbrella soldier Carlos Olivera, and the petty criminal L.J. Dr. Charles Ashford, the virus's creator, contacts them with a deal: find his daughter Angela, trapped at her school, and he will get them out before the city is destroyed. Umbrella's Major Cain sends a new weapon after Alice: Nemesis, a giant mutant with a rocket launcher. Alice and the others find Angela, who has been given the T-virus and its antivirus to treat a disease. Cain captures them at the evacuation point and orders Alice to fight Nemesis.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse ending explained

Alice refuses to kill Nemesis when she realises he is Matt Addison, and he turns on Umbrella and dies protecting her. The survivors throw Cain out of the helicopter to the zombies and escape just as a nuclear warhead destroys Raccoon City, but the blast brings the helicopter down and Alice is killed by a pole. Umbrella revives her in a lab, and she escapes with the others, but Dr. Isaacs says her escape was part of Umbrella's plan.
