The story
An FBI agent and an Interpol detective track a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money.
Now You See Me recap
Four street magicians, J. Daniel Atlas, Henley Reeves, Merritt McKinney and Jack Wilder, receive tarot cards from a mystery figure that bring them together. A year later, as the Four Horsemen, they appear to rob a Paris bank from their Las Vegas show and shower the money on the audience. FBI agent Dylan Rhodes and Interpol agent Alma Dray chase them, helped by Thaddeus Bradley, a former magician who exposes magicians' tricks. In New Orleans, the Horsemen empty the bank account of their own backer, Arthur Tressler, and give it to his audience. Jack seems to die in a car fire during a chase. In New York, the Horsemen's last act targets a safe of money.
Now You See Me ending explained
The Horsemen vanish, the money is found in Bradley's car, and he is jailed. Dylan turns out to be the mastermind: the son of a magician who drowned in a trick Bradley exposed, and who planned all of it as revenge on the men responsible. Jack is alive. The Horsemen join the Eye, a secret society of magicians.
