Hell or High Water recap

In West Texas, the brothers Toby and Tanner Howard rob early-morning branches of the Texas Midlands Bank, which holds the reverse mortgage on their late mother's ranch, where oil has been found. Toby, divorced and broke, wants to give the land to his sons; Tanner, an ex-con, is reckless. They take only small bills and launder the cash at an Oklahoma casino into a cheque made out to the bank. Texas Ranger Marcus Hamilton, close to retirement, and his partner Alberto Parker track them. The last robbery goes wrong when armed locals fight back, and Toby is shot.

Hell or High Water ending explained

Tanner draws the police into the hills and kills Parker before Hamilton shoots him dead. Toby pays off the bank and puts the ranch in trust for his sons. Retired, Hamilton visits Toby at the ranch, sure he is guilty, and they agree to finish their conversation another time.
