The Town recap
Doug MacRay leads a crew of bank robbers from Charlestown, Boston, with his hot-headed best friend Jem. During a bank job, they briefly take the manager Claire Keesey hostage. Learning she lives in their neighbourhood, Doug checks on her to see what she knows, and they fall in love without her knowing who he is. FBI agent Adam Frawley closes in on the crew. Doug wants out, but the local crime boss Fergie, a florist, threatens to kill Claire if Doug doesn't do one last job: robbing Fenway Park.
The Town ending explained
The Fenway robbery turns into a trap, and most of the crew is killed, including Jem, shot by the police. Doug escapes, kills Fergie, and calls Claire, who is with the FBI; he spots the trap and leaves. He buries money in her garden with a note, and she uses it to rebuild a local ice rink. Doug is shown later hiding in Florida.
