The story

After failing to kill stubborn survivor Laurie and taking a bullet or six from former psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis, Michael Myers has followed Laurie to the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, where she's been admitted for Myers' attempt on her life. The institution proves to be particularly suited to serial killers, however, as Myers cuts, stabs and slashes his way through hospital staff to reach his favorite victim.

Halloween II recap

Picking up the moment the first film ends, Michael escapes into the night while Loomis and Sheriff Brackett search the town. Laurie is taken to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, where the night staff is thin. Michael kills a teenager mistaken for him, who is then burned to death in a police car crash, and makes his way to the hospital, where he kills the guard, nurses and paramedics one by one. Loomis is pulled away to be sent back to Smith's Grove, but his colleague Marion Chambers learns from the files that Laurie was adopted: she is Michael's younger sister, which is why he is after her.

Halloween II ending explained

Marion's US Marshal escort turns the car around, and Loomis returns to the hospital in time to save Laurie. Laurie shoots Michael in both eyes. Blinded, Michael slashes at the air, and Loomis fills the operating room with gas and sets it alight, apparently killing them both while Laurie escapes. Laurie is taken away in an ambulance. The next film tells an unconnected story.
