Godzilla vs. Megalon recap

An underground nuclear test shakes Monster Island and damages Seatopia, an undersea civilisation ruled by Emperor Antonio, which has suffered from surface weapons tests for years. Seatopia retaliates by sending its giant beetle god Megalon to destroy the surface world. The inventor Goro Ibuki, his young brother Rokuro and his friend Hiroshi are picnicking by a lake when Seatopia drains it to use as a base. Seatopian agents then seize Goro's lab to steal Jet Jaguar, the humanoid robot he has built, leave Goro and Rokuro for dead, take Hiroshi hostage, and use Jet Jaguar to guide Megalon toward Tokyo, where the army cannot stop it. Goro escapes, regains control of the robot through a backup system and sends it to Monster Island to fetch Godzilla. Seatopia calls in its allies, the Nebulans, who send the cyborg Gigan. Jet Jaguar then begins acting by itself, grows to giant size and fights Megalon alone until Godzilla arrives.

Godzilla vs. Megalon ending explained

Godzilla and Jet Jaguar beat Megalon and Gigan, who flee, and the two heroes shake hands before going home. Gigan and Megalon double-team Jet Jaguar until Godzilla evens the odds, and after a long, brutal fight the two invaders retreat. Jet Jaguar says goodbye, Godzilla returns to Monster Island, and the robot shrinks back to human size and goes home with Goro and Rokuro.
