Destroy All Monsters recap

By the end of the 20th century, the United Nations keeps every giant monster on Monsterland, an island where they live under control. Suddenly contact is lost, and the monsters attack cities around the world: Godzilla in New York, Rodan in Moscow, Mothra in Beijing, Manda in London, Gorosaurus in Paris. The spaceship Moonlight SY-3 under Captain Katsuo Yamabe finds that the scientists have been taken over by the Kilaaks, female aliens who control the monsters through devices and demand Earth's surrender. The attacks turn out to be a distraction while the Kilaaks build a base near Mount Fuji. Yamabe's crew traces the control signals to a Kilaak base on the Moon and destroys it, giving the monsters back to the humans, who send them all to Mount Fuji.

Destroy All Monsters ending explained

Godzilla and the Earth monsters kill King Ghidorah, Godzilla destroys the Kilaak base, and the monsters go home to Monsterland to live in peace. The Kilaaks bring in Ghidorah to defend their base, and ten monsters together beat it to death. Their last weapon, the burning Fire Dragon, is shot down by the SY-3 and revealed as a Kilaak ship. This is where the Showa story effectively ends.
