Ichiro turns to escapist dreams of Monster Island where he befriends the equally bullied Minilla.

All Monsters Attack recap

Ichiro Miki is a lonely boy in industrial, smog-choked Kawasaki. His mother works late, he comes home every day to an empty apartment, and a gang led by a boy named Sanko picks on him after school. His friends are Sachiko, a girl from his building, and Shinpei, a kindly toymaker who lives nearby. In his daydreams he visits Monster Island, where Godzilla's son Minilla can talk and shrink to his size. Minilla is bullied too, by Gabara, a warty monster that gives him electric shocks, and Godzilla tries to toughen his son up. Ichiro watches Godzilla fight Ebirah, Kumonga and other monsters, scenes largely reused from earlier films. In an abandoned factory, Ichiro finds a wallet belonging to two bank robbers hiding there, and they kidnap him. Waiting in captivity, he dreams again, and helps Minilla fight back against Gabara.

All Monsters Attack ending explained

Minilla beats Gabara, and Ichiro, inspired, outwits the bank robbers until Shinpei brings the police. Minilla flings Gabara with a seesaw log and Godzilla chases it off. Back in Kawasaki, Ichiro stands up to Sanko's gang the next day and wins, then plays a prank on a billboard painter that earns the gang's respect and friendship. Godzilla and Minilla exist only in his dreams in this film.
