The story

Bella and Edward marry, and Jacob, furious that Bella will become a vampire, runs off. On their honeymoon on Isle Esme off Brazil, they make love for the first time, and Bella soon discovers she is pregnant with a baby that is growing far faster than a human child. The pregnancy drains her, and the Cullens rush her home. The Quileute pack, led by Sam, decide the baby is a threat and plan to kill Bella. Jacob breaks away to form his own pack with Seth and Leah to protect her. Bella drinks human blood to keep the baby fed while she wastes away.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 ending explained
Bella gives birth to a daughter, Renesmee, and nearly dies; Edward injects his venom into her heart. Jacob, about to kill the baby, imprints on Renesmee instead, which ends the pack's threat under wolf law. Bella's body heals as she changes, and she opens her eyes, now red, as a vampire. Part 2 picks up from there.
Post-credits scenes
Yes. In a mid-credits scene, the Volturi's assistant brings Aro a note from Carlisle announcing Bella's transformation. Aro has her taken away for misspelling Carlisle's name, then tells Caius and Marcus the dispute is not over because the Cullens have something he wants, setting up Part 2.
