Toy Story 4

Movie, 2019, Toy Story, Set in Bonnie's room

Toy Story 4 is #21 of 31 in release order and #19 of 31 in chronological order in the Pixar.

The story

Woody has always been confident about his place in the world, devoted to taking care of his kid—whether that's Andy or Bonnie. But after Bonnie creates a reluctant new toy called "Forky", a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends challenges everything Woody believes about loyalty, purpose, and what it truly means to be a toy.

Toy Story 4 recap

Years after Andy, Woody is often left in the closet at Bonnie's. On her first day of kindergarten, Bonnie makes a toy out of a spork, Forky, who sees himself as trash and keeps trying to throw himself away. On a family road trip, Woody chases Forky and finds an antique shop, where Gabby Gabby, a doll with a broken voice box, wants Woody's working one. Woody escapes and finds Bo Peep, who was given away years earlier and now lives as a lost toy with her sheep in a carnival nearby. Buzz goes after Woody and meets the carnival prize toys Ducky and Bunny, and the group recruits the Canadian stuntman toy Duke Caboom. A rescue from the antique shop goes wrong, Bo is hurt, and Woody and Bo argue.

Toy Story 4 ending explained

Woody trades his voice box to Gabby Gabby for Forky, and Gabby, rejected by the girl she wanted, finds a lost girl at the carnival and comforts her. Woody returns Forky to the RV, then, with Buzz's blessing, chooses to stay with Bo as a lost toy and helps find children for toys at the carnival. He gives his sheriff badge to Jessie and says goodbye to his friends.

Post-credits scenes

During the credits, short scenes show Ducky and Bunny imagining themselves as giant monsters, Forky meeting a new friend, and life at the carnival. At the Pixar logo, Duke Caboom jumps in, and the Combat Carl toys finally get the high-five they were missing. Nothing sets up a sequel.
