The story

The world's boldest buccaneers set sail for the great Pirate Festival, where the Straw Hats join a mad-dash race to find Gol D. Roger's treasure. There's just one little problem: An old member of Roger's crew has a sinister score to settle.

One Piece: Stampede recap

Buena Festa, a festival organizer, hosts the Pirates Fest, a contest to find a treasure left by Gold Roger, and many famous pirates arrive, including the Straw Hats. The prize is a trap: Festa has teamed up with Douglas Bullet, a former member of Roger's crew, to lure the pirates and Marines to one spot. Bullet, a former Impel Down prisoner, wants to prove he is the strongest, and Festa has arranged a Buster Call, a Marine bombardment, to wipe out the island and everyone on it. The treasure is an Eternal Pose pointing to Laugh Tale, the final island. Bullet builds a giant colossus out of the Marine ships and the town and beats Luffy and many others. Boa Hancock rescues Luffy, and the Straw Hats join rivals including Law, Buggy, Crocodile, Rob Lucci, Sabo and the Marine Smoker against him.

One Piece: Stampede ending explained

The alliance tears the colossus apart, and Luffy beats Bullet in a fistfight. Sabo captures Festa. When Crocodile and Lucci go for the Eternal Pose, Luffy destroys it, saying he will find the One Piece with his own crew. Smoker calls off the second bombardment, Sabo raises a wall of fire to cover the pirates' escape, and it is revealed that Roger also threw the pose away.
