Insidious: Chapter 3 recap

Several years before the Lamberts, Quinn Brenner, a teenager in Seattle, asks the retired Elise Rainier to contact her late mother. Elise is reluctant, having stopped using her gift because of a demon that threatens her life, and warns Quinn not to try to reach her mother alone. Quinn is hit by a car after seeing a figure wave at her, breaking both legs. Bedridden in her family's apartment, she is tormented by a demon called the Man Who Can't Breathe, who wears an oxygen mask. Her father Sean calls in two amateur ghost hunters, Specs and Tucker, who are no help. Elise agrees to enter the Further to save Quinn and faces both the Bride in Black and the demon, which disguises itself as her late husband.
