Trying to reverse a family curse, brothers Jimmy and Clyde Logan set out to execute an elaborate robbery during the legendary Coca-Cola 600 race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Logan Lucky recap
Jimmy Logan, a laid-off construction worker in West Virginia, plans to rob the Charlotte Motor Speedway, using the pneumatic tubes that carry its cash to a vault he saw while working there. He brings in his brother Clyde, a bartender who lost an arm in Iraq, his sister Mellie, and Joe Bang, a jailed explosives expert, with his two brothers. Clyde gets himself sent to Joe's prison so they can break out for the job and back in before anyone notices. When the construction is finished early, they have to do it on the busiest race day of the year. Inmates stage a riot to cover the escape, and the team breaks into the vault with a homemade explosive and vacuums out the cash.
Logan Lucky ending explained
Jimmy makes it to his daughter's pageant, then appears to abandon the money and tip off the police. The case goes cold, though FBI agent Sarah Grayson suspects them. Jimmy hid much of the money, which turns up for the crew and those who helped. At the bar, Grayson arrives and says she is staying in town a while.
