In the Grey recap
In the Grey (2026) follows a debt-recovery lawyer and her two covert operatives as they try to make an island billionaire pay back $1 billion. Guy Ritchie wrote, produced and directed his seventeenth feature, released in May 2026, and reunites Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza González from earlier films. Rachel Wild (González) recovers debts for the firm Spencer Goldstein, and when her mentor is killed on the Spanish island run by Manny Salazar (Carlos Bardem), she takes the case herself. Her operatives Sid (Cavill) and Bronco Beauregard (Gyllenhaal) sabotage Salazar's building sites and oil rig, bug his lawyer (Fisher Stevens) and his financier, and get his jet and yacht seized. They then assemble a team to secure the island, which Salazar's private police force controls, for Rachel's face-to-face meeting with him. Rosamund Pike plays Bobby Sheen, the firm's executive.
In the Grey ending explained
In the Grey ends with Rachel winning twice. Salazar agrees to pay in full after her team survives his attempt to kill her, but three months later he kidnaps her, angry that the firm has kept his assets. Sid and Bronco break her out of the police station and fight across the island, losing two of their team, then deliver Salazar to Miami locked in a shipping container. Rachel works out that Bobby double-crossed her and leaves her to face Salazar's testimony.
