Fountain of Youth recap
Fountain of Youth (2025) sends estranged siblings on a global heist to find the mythical spring, following clues hidden in six famous paintings. Guy Ritchie directed this sixteenth feature from a script by James Vanderbilt for Apple TV+. Disgraced archaeologist Luke Purdue (John Krasinski) steals a painting from Thai gangsters, then lures his sister Charlotte (Natalie Portman), a museum curator going through a divorce, into continuing their late father's treasure hunts. Their backer is Owen Carver (Domhnall Gleeson), a billionaire who says he has terminal cancer. A secret order called the Protectors of the Path has guarded the Fountain for centuries, and its agent Esme (Eiza González) keeps cutting in, while Interpol inspector Jamal Abbas (Arian Moayed) chases everyone. The hunt raises the wreck of the Lusitania, steals the Wicked Bible in Vienna and decodes a musical clue that points beneath the Great Pyramid of Giza.
Fountain of Youth ending explained
Fountain of Youth ends inside the pyramid, where Carver, never ill, forces the siblings to open the Fountain. Luke learns its curse: drinking takes life from the people you love most, so he refuses and his wound heals anyway. Carver drinks, loves nobody, and ages to death as Esme seals the chamber. Charlotte persuades Abbas to blame Carver, Esme kisses Luke and warns him off, and the family plans its next hunt.
