The Bourne Identity recap

Italian fishermen pull an unconscious man from the Mediterranean with two bullets in his back and a laser projector under his skin, carrying a Swiss bank account number. He has no memory but speaks several languages and fights with deadly skill. In a Zurich bank box, he finds money, a gun and passports under several names, including Jason Bourne of Paris. Pursued by police at the U.S. consulate, he pays Marie Kreutz, a young woman with a car, to drive him to Paris. Bourne is a Treadstone agent who failed to kill Nykwana Wombosi, an exiled African dictator, and Treadstone's head, Alexander Conklin, sends other assassins after him, including the Professor, whom Bourne kills in the French countryside. Wombosi is murdered and the blame falls on Bourne. Bourne remembers that he could not shoot Wombosi with his children nearby.

How The Bourne Identity ends

Bourne arranges a meeting with Conklin in Paris and breaks into the Treadstone safe house, where his memories return. He tells Conklin he is done and leaves. Conklin's boss, Ward Abbott, has Conklin killed and shuts Treadstone down, telling a committee it was a training program, and plans a new one, Blackbriar. Bourne finds Marie running a scooter rental shop on Mykonos.

The Bourne Supremacy recap

Two years later, Bourne and Marie live quietly in Goa, India. In Berlin, a CIA operation run by Pamela Landy to buy files about a theft of $20 million is ambushed by a Russian assassin, Kirill, working for oil magnate Yuri Gretkov, who plants Bourne's fingerprint to frame him. Kirill then goes to Goa to kill Bourne, but in the chase he shoots Marie, who dies. Bourne goes to Naples, then Munich and Berlin to find out why. He learns that Ward Abbott and Gretkov stole the money and that Abbott had the deal sabotaged to protect himself. Bourne kills Jarda, the last other Treadstone agent, and confronts Abbott, recording his confession. Abbott shoots himself. Bourne remembers his first Treadstone mission in Berlin: killing a Russian politician, Vladimir Neski, and his wife, staged to look like a murder suicide.

How The Bourne Supremacy ends

Bourne goes to Moscow, where he is wounded and chased by Kirill through the city, then kills him in a car crash. He finds Neski's daughter, Irena, and tells her the truth about her parents' deaths. In New York, Landy, who has cleared Bourne, calls him and tells him his real name, David Webb, and his birthday. He tells her to get some rest, because she looks tired, and disappears.

The Bourne Ultimatum recap

Bourne, wounded, escapes Moscow. In London, Guardian journalist Simon Ross has been writing about Bourne and Blackbriar, the CIA program that replaced Treadstone. Deputy director Noah Vosen tracks Ross through his phone, and Bourne meets him in Waterloo station to protect him, but an asset shoots Ross dead. Bourne goes to Madrid, to the desk of Ross's source, and finds Nicky Parsons, a former Treadstone support agent, who helps him. In Tangier, Bourne fights and kills the asset Desh before he can kill Nicky. Bourne learns that his recruitment took place at a building in New York under a doctor, Albert Hirsch. Landy believes Bourne and Vosen wants him dead.

How The Bourne Ultimatum ends

In New York, Bourne tricks Vosen and gets Landy the Blackbriar files from Vosen's office. At the building, Hirsch helps Bourne remember that he volunteered to become Jason Bourne, executing a man to prove it. The asset Paz refuses to kill him, and Bourne jumps into the East River as Vosen shoots at him. Landy sends the files to the press, and Vosen and Hirsch are arrested. Nicky smiles when the news says Bourne's body has not been found, and Bourne swims away.

The Bourne Legacy recap

During the events of The Bourne Ultimatum, Aaron Cross, an agent in Operation Outcome, trains alone in the Alaskan wilderness. Outcome uses blue and green pills to boost its agents' physical and mental abilities. With Bourne about to expose Treadstone and Blackbriar, retired Air Force colonel Eric Byer decides to shut down Outcome and kill all its agents. A drone attacks Cross in Alaska, but he removes his tracking implant and escapes. The scientists in the lab that made the pills are shot by a colleague who has been brainwashed. Byer's people stage the shooting as a suicide and send a team to kill Dr. Marta Shearing, the only survivor, but Cross saves her. He needs the drugs, which he is nearly out of, so they fly to Manila, where the factory that makes them is, so he can be infected with a virus that makes the changes permanent.

How The Bourne Legacy ends

In Manila, Cross gets the virus and goes through the fever. Byer sends LARX-03, an agent from a newer program with no emotions. The Manila police and LARX-03 chase Cross and Marta through the city on motorcycles, and Marta kicks LARX-03 off his bike to his death. A boatman helps them escape, and they sail away.

Jason Bourne recap

Nine years after exposing Blackbriar, Bourne survives by fighting in bare-knuckle bouts on the Greek border. Nicky Parsons hacks into the CIA and steals files on the black ops programs, including Iron Hand, and on Bourne's recruitment. CIA director Robert Dewey and cyber operations head Heather Lee track her, and Dewey sends the Asset, an assassin with a personal grudge against Bourne, to Athens. Nicky finds Bourne during a riot and tells him his father, Richard Webb, helped create Treadstone. The Asset shoots Nicky dead. Bourne learns his father was killed in Beirut by the Asset, who was blamed on terrorists. Dewey is also secretly trying to make Aaron Kalloor, a social media founder, give the CIA access to his platform for surveillance. Lee, seeing a chance, helps Bourne, hoping to bring him back into the agency.

How Jason Bourne ends

At a tech conference in Las Vegas, Dewey plans to have the Asset kill Kalloor. Bourne stops it, and Lee shoots Dewey, who is about to kill Bourne. Bourne chases the Asset through the Strip and kills him in a fight in a storm drain. Lee pitches Bourne a return to the CIA, privately planning to have him killed if he refuses, but Bourne has recorded her talking about it and leaves.

Treadstone recap

This is a single season. In 1973, John Randolph Bentley, a CIA Treadstone agent, escapes a Soviet program called Cicada in East Berlin that has been brainwashing captured agents, chased by his Soviet handler Petra Andropov. He learns he carried out KGB killings and torture while under the program's control and is eventually captured again. In the present day, sleeper agents around the world are suddenly activated: Soyun Park, a piano teacher in North Korea, kills a general, and Doug McKenna, an oil driller in Alaska, blacks out after receiving a kill order. An older Petra guards a Cold War nuclear missile, Stiletto Six, and learns that her former boss, Yuri Leniov, plans to sell it to North Korea. Journalist Tara Coleman investigates the Cicadas and the missile with help from her CIA contact Matt Edwards. CIA official Ellen Becker is forced to work for a reactivated Treadstone faction.

How Treadstone ends

The series ends unresolved. A Treadstone unit secures the warhead with Becker's help, Tara fails to kill Yuri and disappears with Edwards after rescuing him, and Treadstone's director, Dan Levine, is killed. Doug fakes a target's death, and Petra seeks out an aged Bentley to help bring Treadstone down. USA Network cancelled the show after one season.
