Attack on Titan recap
This is the first season. For a century, humanity has lived inside three huge walls to keep out the Titans. In the year 845, a Colossal Titan kicks a hole in the outer wall of Shiganshina, an Armored Titan smashes the gate, and Titans pour in. Young Eren Yeager watches a Titan eat his mother and swears to kill them all. With his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and best friend Armin Arlert, he joins the military, training to use maneuver gear that lets soldiers swing through the air and cut the weak spot on a Titan's neck. In their first battle, at Trost, Eren is swallowed and emerges as a Titan himself, and he blocks the breach in the wall with a giant boulder. Put on trial, Eren is taken into the Survey Corps under Commander Erwin Smith and Captain Levi. On an expedition outside the walls, a Female Titan with human intelligence slaughters Levi's squad trying to capture Eren.
How Attack on Titan ends
Armin works out that the Female Titan is Annie Leonhart, their fellow cadet, and the Survey Corps lures her into the city of Stohess. Eren fights her and wins, but Annie encases herself in a hard crystal before she can be questioned. In the final moment, a crack in the wall reveals a Titan's face embedded inside it, raising the question of what the walls are made of.

Attack on Titan Season 2 recap
This is the second season. Titans suddenly appear inside Wall Rose with no breach to be found. A group of cadets is trapped in a castle, and Ymir reveals she can become a Titan to protect Christa Lenz, whose real name is Historia Reiss. On the wall, Reiner Braun casually tells Eren that he is the Armored Titan and Bertholdt Hoover the Colossal Titan, and the two transform and fight Eren and the Survey Corps. Reiner and Bertholdt kidnap Eren and the wounded Ymir and carry them toward the forest, and the Survey Corps and the military police chase after them. Ymir decides to go with Reiner and Bertholdt, and Eren's rescue becomes a desperate battle on horseback among the Titans.
How Attack on Titan Season 2 ends
The Smiling Titan that killed Eren's mother appears and eats Hannes, the soldier who once saved Eren. Eren punches it and somehow commands the Titans around him to attack it, an ability called the Coordinate. The Survey Corps escapes with Eren. Ymir leaves with Reiner and Bertholdt to protect them. The soldiers are left with a horrifying discovery: the Titans that appeared inside Wall Rose were the people of Connie Springer's home village, which means every Titan was once human.

Attack on Titan Season 3 recap
This is the third season. The government turns on the Survey Corps after they learn the walls' royal family is a fake. Levi's squad goes into hiding, hunted by the military police unit led by Kenny Ackerman, who raised Levi. Historia learns she is the illegitimate daughter of Rod Reiss, head of the true royal family, and that her family has passed down the Founding Titan, which can alter the memories of everyone in the walls. Rod plans to have Historia turn into a Titan and eat Eren to reclaim it. Eren learns his father Grisha took the Founding Titan from the Reisses, killing them, and passed it to Eren. Historia refuses, Rod turns into a huge Titan, Historia kills him, and she becomes queen. In the second part, the Survey Corps returns to Shiganshina to retake the wall and reach Grisha's basement, and fights Reiner, Bertholdt and the Beast Titan, Zeke.
How Attack on Titan Season 3 ends
Commander Erwin leads a suicide charge to let Levi defeat the Beast Titan, and Armin is burned saving Eren from the Colossal Titan. Levi chooses to save Armin with the Titan serum instead of Erwin, and Armin becomes the Colossal Titan by eating Bertholdt. In the basement, Grisha's books reveal that humanity is not extinct: the people inside the walls are Eldians on the island of Paradis, and the nation of Marley across the sea has used Eldian Titans as weapons. The survivors reach the sea, and Eren says the enemy is beyond it.
