The story

A horrifying premonition saves a young man and his friends from death during a racetrack accident but terrible fates await them nonetheless.

The Final Destination recap

At the McKinley Speedway, Nick O'Bannon has a vision of a crash that brings the stands down on the crowd. He leaves with his girlfriend Lori and friends Hunt and Janet, along with others including a security guard, George, a racist tow truck driver, Carter, and a mother with her sons. The disaster plays out as Nick foresaw. Carter blames Nick and dies when his own truck drags him into flames. The other survivors die one by one: a mother in her garden, a mechanic thrown by a tire, Hunt in a swimming pool drain. Nick has more visions and tries to save the next on the list, and he and George try to work out how to cheat the design.

The Final Destination ending explained

Nick saves Janet from a car wash, and George, who failed to kill himself, is hit by an ambulance just as they think they have learned the rules. At a mall cinema, Nick foresees an explosion and an escalator accident killing Janet and Lori, and he saves them both. Two weeks later, the three sit in a cafe under a construction site, Nick sees the signs, and a truck crashes through the window and kills them.
