Destined to inherit the throne from her commanding grandmother, Ruby must use her newfound powers to protect those she loves most.
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken recap
Ruby Gillman is a shy teenager in the seaside town of Oceanside, where her family pass themselves off as humans despite being blue. Her mother Agatha forbids her from going in the ocean. When Ruby jumps in to save her crush Connor, she transforms into a giant kraken. Ruby learns she is heir to her grandmother, the Warrior Queen of the Seven Seas, and that krakens have long fought the mermaids. Chelsea Van Der Zee, a popular new girl who takes credit for the rescue, turns out to be a mermaid, and she and Ruby become friends. Chelsea urges Ruby to find the Trident of Oceanus to end the feud, while the monster hunter Gordon Lighthouse tracks the krakens.
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken ending explained
Chelsea is actually Nerissa, the mermaid queen, who takes the trident and attacks Oceanside on prom night. Ruby, her mother and grandmother fight together, destroy the trident and defeat her, and Gordon captures Nerissa. Ruby is celebrated as a hero, takes Connor to prom and embraces being a kraken, protector of the seas.
