The story

When a greedy outlaw schemes to take possession of the "Patch Of Heaven" dairy farm, three determined cows, a karate-kicking stallion and a colorful corral of critters join forces to save their home. The stakes are sky-high as this unlikely animal alliance risk their hides and match wits with a mysterious band of bad guys.

Home on the Range recap

Maggie, a show cow, is sold after the cattle rustler Alameda Slim steals her owner's entire herd. She ends up at the Patch of Heaven, a small dairy farm run by Pearl Gesner, and joins two other cows, the proper Mrs. Calloway and the dreamy Grace. The bank is going to sell the farm unless Pearl pays $750 in three days. The cows hear that the reward on Slim is $750, so they set out to catch him. Slim, riding his bison Junior with his nephews the Willies, steals cattle by yodeling, which hypnotises them; Grace is tone deaf and immune. The cows are chased by Rico, a bounty hunter, and Buck, a sheriff's horse eager to be a hero. With a peg-legged jackrabbit, Lucky Jack, they find Slim's mine hideout and learn his scheme: he ruins ranchers by stealing their herds, then buys their land at auction disguised as Yancy O'Dell.

Home on the Range ending explained

The cows capture Alameda Slim, claim the reward and save the farm in time. Rico turns out to be working for Slim, and Buck, disillusioned, turns on him and helps the cows free the stolen cattle. Slim slips away to the auction in his disguise, but the cows and the farm animals expose him, and the sheriff arrests him. Maggie decides to stay, and the animals win prizes at the State Fair.
