The story
When Danny O'Shea's daughter is cut from the Peewee football team just for being a girl, he decides to form his own team, composed of other ragtag players who were also cut. Can his team really learn enough to beat the elite team, coached by his brother, a former pro player?
Little Giants recap
In the small town of Urbania, Ohio, Kevin O'Shea is a local football hero who coaches the town's pee-wee team, while his brother Danny lives in his shadow. Danny's daughter Becky, nicknamed Icebox, is one of the best players at tryouts but is cut because she is a girl, along with a group of less skilled kids. She persuades her father to coach a rival team, the Little Giants, and the brothers agree to a game to decide which team represents the town. Danny recruits misfits, including a strong-armed quarterback, Junior, son of his old crush Patty. He tries to trick a talented new kid, Spike, into joining, but Spike ends up on Kevin's team. Becky quits to become a cheerleader to get Junior's attention. A bus of NFL stars stops in town and gives the Little Giants a lesson.
Little Giants ending explained
The Little Giants fall behind but fight back, and when Spike injures Junior with a dirty hit, Becky suits up again and stops Spike at the goal line. On the last play, a trick play called the Annexation of Puerto Rico sends Jake on a 99-yard run to win the game. Danny drops their bet and asks that the town water tower honour both brothers, and he starts dating Patty.
