Home Alone 2: Lost in New York recap

A year later, the McCallisters fly to Florida for Christmas, and in the airport rush Kevin follows a man in the same coat as his father onto a plane to New York. With his father's bag and credit card, he checks into the Plaza Hotel, where the concierge Mr. Hector grows suspicious. Kevin tours the city, visits a toy store owned by the kind Mr. Duncan, who is giving the day's takings to a children's hospital, and meets a lonely pigeon lady in Central Park. Harry and Marv, escaped from prison, are in New York too and plan to rob Duncan's toy store on Christmas Eve. When the hotel learns the card is stolen, Kevin flees, runs into Harry and Marv, and escapes. He sets up traps in his uncle's house, which is empty for renovation.
