The story

En route to the honeymoon of William Riker to Deanna Troi on her home planet of Betazed, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise receives word from Starfleet that a coup has resulted in the installation of a new Romulan political leader, Shinzon, who claims to seek peace with the human-backed United Federation of Planets. Once in enemy territory, the captain and his crew make a startling discovery: Shinzon is human, a slave from the Romulan sister planet of Remus, and has a secret, shocking relationship to Picard himself.

Star Trek: Nemesis recap

At Riker and Troi's wedding, the Enterprise-E finds the parts of an earlier Data prototype, B-4, on a planet near Romulan space. The Romulan senate has been killed in a coup by Shinzon, a young human from the Reman mining colonies, who asks for peace talks. Picard learns that Shinzon is his own clone, made by the Romulans to replace him and abandoned to the Reman mines. Shinzon is dying from his cloning and needs Picard's blood. His warship, the Scimitar, carries a radiation weapon that can wipe out a planet's population, and he plans to use it on Earth. B-4 turns out to be a trap that lets Shinzon spy on the Enterprise.

Star Trek: Nemesis ending explained

The Enterprise fights the Scimitar, and Picard rams it. Data jumps across with a transporter, sends Picard back and destroys the weapon and the ship, dying in the blast. Riker leaves to captain the USS Titan, and Picard finds B-4 starting to sing a song Data had learned, hinting that some of Data survives.
