Star Trek: First Contact recap

In 2373, a Borg cube attacks Earth. Picard, ordered to stay away because of his past as Locutus, joins the battle anyway with the new Enterprise-E and helps destroy it, but a sphere escapes back in time to 2063. The Enterprise follows to find the Borg have attacked the site of Zefram Cochrane's first warp flight, the event that leads to first contact with the Vulcans. Riker and La Forge help a drunk and reluctant Cochrane rebuild his ship, the Phoenix, while Borg drones take over the Enterprise's decks. The Borg Queen captures Data and tempts him with human skin. Picard, obsessed with revenge, refuses to destroy the ship until Cochrane's assistant, Lily Sloane, makes him see what he is doing.

Star Trek: First Contact ending explained

Picard orders the crew to evacuate and goes back for Data, who refuses the Queen's offer and ruptures a coolant tank that melts her and the drones. Cochrane makes his warp flight, and a Vulcan ship lands in Montana for first contact. The Enterprise returns to the 24th century.
