Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy! recap

For Fred's birthday, his parents, Skip and Peggy Jones, take the gang on a mystery cruise through the Bermuda Triangle, where the cruise director Sunny St. Cloud stages fake mysteries for the passengers and the gang solves them all instantly. They pull a stranded astrocartographer, Rupert Garcia, from the sea, and he says ghost pirates led by Captain Skunkbeard sank his ship. Nobody believes him, until a stage hypnotist, Mr. Mysterio, puts the dinner audience in a trance and the pirates attack, taking the passengers and Fred's parents and sinking the cruise ship. The gang follows a glowing trail to a hidden harbour, where Skunkbeard is searching for a meteor that fell into the Triangle centuries ago and needs Garcia's skills to find it. Ron Perlman voices Skunkbeard and Tim Conway voices Skip.

Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy! ending explained

The gang escapes, exposes the projectors making the ghostly effects and unmasks Skunkbeard as Biff Wellington, a billionaire adventurer, with Mr. Mysterio as his first mate; the other pirates are the hypnotised passengers. The meteor turns out to be solid gold. When it sets off an upheaval in the Triangle, the gang throws it back into the sea and sails the pirates' ship home, where Biff and Mysterio are arrested.
