The story
In Scooby-Doo’s greatest adventure yet, see the never-before told story of how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined forces with young detectives Fred, Velma, and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. Now, with hundreds of cases solved, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, toughest mystery ever: an evil plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this global “dogpocalypse,” the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone ever imagined.
Scoob! recap
Shaggy, a lonely boy in Venice Beach, adopts a stray puppy he names Scooby-Doo, and on Halloween they meet Fred, Daphne and Velma and solve their first mystery together. Years later Mystery Inc. is looking for an investor, who says Shaggy and Scooby are dead weight, and the two walk out hurt. They are then attacked by robots belonging to the villain Dick Dastardly and rescued by the Falcon Force: Blue Falcon, the vain son of the original hero; his robot dog Dynomutt; and the pilot Dee Dee Skyes. Dastardly needs Scooby, because he is descended from Peritas, the dog of Alexander the Great, and only Scooby can open the gates to the Underworld and the treasure behind them. He is also collecting the three skulls of Cerberus, the guardian of the Underworld. Captain Caveman guards one skull in a lost world. Will Forte voices Shaggy, Frank Welker voices Scooby, and Zac Efron, Amanda Seyfried and Gina Rodriguez voice Fred, Daphne and Velma.
Scoob! ending explained
Dastardly opens the Underworld and releases Cerberus, and the gang and the Falcon Force force it back. Shaggy stays behind to hold the gate shut, but Scooby finds a way through and brings him out, and Dastardly and Muttley are captured. Mystery Inc. opens a new headquarters, and the Falcon Force gives them an upgraded Mystery Machine. Because of the pandemic, the film was released digitally in the US in 2020. A prequel, Scoob! Holiday Haunt, was cancelled in 2022.
