Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages recap
A century ago, the mischievous Hoopa Unbound used its rings to summon legendary Pokémon and cause chaos, until its power was sealed in the Prison Bottle and it was left in a small, harmless confined form. In Dahara City, Ash, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie are pulled through one of Hoopa's rings and meet Meray, whose family has looked after Hoopa, and her brother Baraz. The bottle's dark power possesses Baraz and then Meowth, unleashing Hoopa's strength, and its anger takes shape as a separate shadow Hoopa that wants to reclaim its full power. Hoopa summons Lugia, Latias, Latios and Rayquaza to fight, and the shadow summons Groudon, Kyogre, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina and Kyurem. The legendaries clash over Dahara Tower while Baraz and Meray rebuild the bottle.
Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages ending explained
Ash catches the remade bottle and is briefly possessed, and Hoopa calms its shadow with its happy memories, making the darkness disappear. With so many legendaries summoned, a rift opens in space and time, and Hoopa sends everyone home through its rings but cannot pass through itself. Arceus closes the rift, giving Hoopa time to escape. Hoopa decides to stay with Baraz and Meray, its family, and sets about repairing the city.
