All Grown Up! recap
Ten years after Rugrats, Tommy Pickles is about ten and wants to be a filmmaker, and his brother Dil is an eccentric who believes in aliens. Chuckie is still anxious and is now trying to talk to girls, Phil and Lil have grown into very different people, and Kimi is outgoing and fashion-minded. Angelica is thirteen, still bossy, and now in middle school with Susie, who sings. The parents are older too: Stu still invents, Grandpa Lou has remarried, and the kids now have phones, crushes and jobs. Episodes follow middle school problems, sibling fights, first dates and family events, with the old rivalry between Tommy's group and Angelica still running underneath. The show began as a 2001 special for the tenth anniversary of Rugrats, then runs five seasons from 2003 to 2008.
All Grown Up! ending explained
All Grown Up! ends without a planned finale. The last episode broadcast is "Brothers Grimm" in August 2008, in which the kids build a treehouse zip-line to win back their banned televisions; in production order, "Bad Blood", where the two grandfathers feud while babysitting, comes last. No episode brings the older kids' stories to a close. The Rugrats characters return as babies in the 2021 Paramount+ revival.
